Spoilers ahead
As Davros and the Daleks threaten the entire universe, the Doctor's companions join forces. But the prophecy declares that one of them will die...
lot of twists and turns in the ending of Dr Who series 4. The Stolen Earth cliff hanger with the Dr apparently mortally wounded and started re-generating, but at the last moment he transferred the regeneration energy in to his severed hand, so he stayed in his David Tennant incarnation.
Later the hand became a clone of the Dr, using dna from Donna Noble, although this clone was Human, with only one heart, and Donna became half human half Time lord, although she ends up suffering for it and has to have her mind wiped by the Doctor to prevent her from dying, so she forgets meeting the Dr and all her adventures with him. So the Dr ends the series alone again
All of the companions survive , and they all help the doctor to pilot the TARDIS back to their respective homes although there is a somewhat sad goodbye to Rose and Donna. And yes Rose finally gets her man ( after a fashion) as the clone of the Dr stays with her, after all as he tells her, he is human and will grow old, and will not regenerate and he has all the feelings and memories of the Dr and he can be the man she wants him to be, which the "real" Dr can't and he wants to be with her.Rose kisses him as the "real" Dr walks into the Tardis and leaves them both to their new life.

Dr Who will be back in a Christmas 2008 special which heralds the return of the Cyber men.
If anyone is interested enough i might do a DVD competition where these last 2 episodes " The Stolen Earth and Journeys End" would be the prize as well as Dr Who confidential a behind the scenes programme. |

I thought it was all bit congested, there was too much going on. Didn't spoil my enjoyment though. |

I wonder if the new series of Torchwood will mention these Dr Who episodes?. |

It all sounds quite exciting. While I hate Martha and Rose, of late the shows writing has improved greatly.
I especially liked "Blink", the Agatha Christie one and the two part "Library" . Realize that here we're behind the UK on episodes but I'd join in if I could. |

Last Friday I was all set to see the second part of the "Library" and they preempted it with all day episodes of the Twilight Zone! Not much of a fan of that show, sorry to say. I really was looking forward to seeing if Donna Noble got out of that talking statue thing. And it looks like this coming Friday they're going to be skipping the second installment of the "Library" and showing the next one! I sure hope they don't screw up and have me missing the last ones! And I'm not too sure I'm all that crazy about Rose Tyler, too, but I'm glad to hear that she does get her "man" more or less. Half a loaf is better than none at all. |

personally i thought the next episode( for you) "Midnight" was a bit slow and dragged on a bit, not much action, but quite thought provoking and a lot of tension. Then the one after that "Turn Left" is one of those "what if" episodes, where it's all about the companion there's not much of The Doctor in it at all.
Then you are on to the biggies , the series closers,we have just seen over the last 2 weeks . |

I've not heard of it nor seen it on the play list of either Sci-Fi or BBCA.

I'll be looking this Friday and Saturday to see which episode they're showing. Thanks for the heads-up. |

Warning Dr Who season 5 spoiler alert
The 2008 Christmas special -"Ghosts in the Machines"
The Doctor arrives in Victorian London and encounters two very different types of Cybermen.Troops of Cybermen attack a major Market place in snow covered London. The Cybus Cybermen and some diamond headed wraith-like Cybermen .They've taken over a graveyard and look set to take over the planet through stealth. But is it really the Doctor? And who's the new companion?
Possible Dr Who Special November 2008
The 7 Doctors (Suggested Title)
By Terrance Dicks
Rumoured that an extra special story will be written for the 45th anniversary to be broadcast on the 23rd November 2008 starring Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Tom Baker and David Tennant with special appearances by other guest actors (Eccleston?). Alternately this special may appear as a Children in Need extravaganza. With Peter Davison and Tom Baker confirming they would return for a cameo if asked.
No further news on this rumoured "special" at the moment. So i can't say 100% that it will happen.

I'd love to see Tom again, although he's aged which is unusual for a Time Lord. |

Yeah, I missed him in that too.
His EYES are still so expressive. Now I'll cross my fingers, light a candle, burn some incense and ask the universe to bring him into the episodes you've mentioned, with the MOST lines!! |

We're getting sooo old! I remember when he was bouncing around the tv screen, just as spry as can be. I loved his Doctor so much. He had such a Harpo-esk type of acting for his character. He was THE Doctor in my younger days. |

Nah, chronological age is unavoidable; growing old is optional.
