First time in years, I have toothache in one of my molars. All night, I have been trying to call my friend, who is a Japanese dentist, to see if I could arrange an appointment. I fear that he is out of the country.
I can't believe my tooth would do this to me... BLOODY NERVE, if you ask me! |

Wish I was there, buddy. I'd punch you in the jaw. To loosen it, of course. |

Do the old doorknob and string trick. My daughter did that and it worked like a charm. I hope you get to feeling well real soon. |

Harry,
While you are waiting for your appointment, if you can get a hold of some clove oil, it may help ease the pain. You could also try boiling a few cloves and making a tea.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers (and yes, I know you are Buddhist, but God speaks fluent Buddhist also) so no worries.
Hope this helps. |

I sense a root canal in your near future.
Or... sometimes, your "bite" changes over time and the wear and tear creates trauma in the gums... the dentist can fix that with a little grind and polish.
Silver fillings settle in best if it's just a cavity.
Avoid anesthetics. You'd be better off hoovering than having the dentist inject you with a foreign synthetic freezing agent.

BREAKING NEWS! I had a crack in one of my molars, so they have removed the filling that was in it, drilled it too non-existence, filled it with a temporary resin filling (but not well, as I have having nerve pain), and I will have to wait until next Saturday to have the inlay filling placed into position.
I UNDERSTAND HOW THIS NEWS IS OF MAJOR CONCERN TO YOU ALL. AS IF THE WORLD NEED FURTHER PROBLEMS!
Thanks for the well-wishes. |

Harry,
It is in carrying for those around us that will eventually resolve the world's problems.... sort of a ripple effect. It would seem that some problems seems more important than others, simply because some get more attention from the media.
I am glad that you are getting your tooth taken care of. |

A toothache is a good thing to post compared to what I've posted in the past..trust me In a ways I envy your toothache's ordinariness. |
