Today I lost my dearest friend at the age of 77.
I will remember him for the love he gave...and the laughter we shared.
We kissed and said goodbuy, see you in heaven...
Take your seat next to your encestors and tell them about us who love you....

In loving memory :
OTTO MATTHIJS VAN GINKEL.

Rest in peace my beloved friend.

"Death Is Not The End"

When you're sad and when you're lonely
And you haven't got a friend
Just remember that death is not the end
And all that you held sacred
Falls down and does not mend
Just remember that death is not the end.

Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end.

When you're standing on the cross-roads
That you cannot comprehend
Just remember that death is not the end
And all your dreams have vanished
And you don't know what's up the bend
Just remember that death is not the end.

Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end.

When the storm clouds gather round you
And heavy rains descend
Just remember that death is not the end
And there's no one there to comfort you
With helping hand to lend
Just remember that death is not the end.

Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end.

Oh the tree of life is growing
Where the spirit never dies
And the bright light of salvation
Shines in dark and empty skies
When the cities are on fire
With the burning flesh of men
Just remember that death is not the end
And you search in vain to find
Just one law abiding citizen
Just remember that death is not the end.

Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand completely because I'm going through it, too. They are in Heaven but we have to endure the loss of their companionship, and that's the hardest loss in the world.

THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU
NO ONE ELSE CAN TOUCH MY HEART LIKE YOU DO
I COULD SEARCH FOR ALL ETERNITY LORD, AND FIND THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU

YOUR MERCY FLOWS LIKE A RIVER WIDE
AND HEALING COMES FROM
YOUR HANDS
SUFFERING CHILDREN ARE SAFE IN YOUR ARMS
THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU

I COULD SEARCH FOR ALL ETERNITY LONG AND FIND
THERE IS NONE
THERE IS NONE
THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU

Joining the club nobody wants to be in...

my brother Randy has, as I believe I've mentioned in the past, had several issues of poor judgement as relates to the law enforcement vs. Randy Lister...his most recent stint landed him in the arms of the New Mexico constabulary for the next 10 years...

Had things gone to plan, that is.

On May 30th, at roughly 9am New Mexico time, he was released from lockup for a doctor's appointment at the Veterans' Administration hospital...his 7th wife, Christy, picked him up; they went to their home to pick up some things for the visit to the doctor..while Christy was busy getting stuff together, Randy went into their bedroom. He went to the drawer that held Christy's military uniform, belt...and her service revolver.

Randy died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head before the ambulance arrived.

I have no contact information as to where to send condolences, as Mom will not allow me to have said info.

As to why the name change from Lister to LaFrance, the bride insisted...

LAFRANCE -- Randy R. LaFrance, 47, died Friday, May 30, 2008. Born in Madison, WI, September 27, 1961. He is survived by his wife, Kristy LaFrance; and a host of family and friends who love him. Services will be Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 p.m. at the Riverside Funeral Home 225 San Mateo Blvd., NE 764-9663. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by Diane McLeggan 505-242-4176 as representative for Randy.

Take note: They got his age wrong...
