WTF kind of mindless, effortless comment is that? Nice to see you're so understanding about her situation, jerk!
Hang in there, Angel! I hope things get better for you! If it's any consolation, I don't even have a computer at home. |

Lol...Don't worry Johnny! I didn't take offense to MG's comment. I always take anything MG says with more than a grain of salt! I've always been broke at more than one time in my life and I'm quite used to the more simpler things in life. In fact I've rediscovered the joys of reading books again! Yes, book! Those things with all those paper pages and covers, all numerically numbered in chapter form! Instead of looking at pages of threads on this forum! It's like discovering an old friend again. Right now I'm reading Stephen King's new book Duma Key. It's pretty good so far. I think that I'll be not visiting the forum so much anymore. Lots of housework, lots of books to read, school starting up soon and that always keeps me busy. This place isn't exactly making life more simple for me. So breaks from this place is a healthy thing. And of course a break from ol' Angel is always a good thing for everyone else! Anyhoo, the simple life is the life for me. |

Good old country song. From the early '70's, maybe? I was more of a Charlie Pride fan back then. |

Angel, I'll never get tired of you. You're cool and a lot of fun to chat with. Speaking of bookers, someone just gave me Bill Shatner's Up Till Now. He said it was really funny. |

That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me on here. You're really cool, too. Always make me laugh. You're one of my favorite people on here.
I've been meaning to get a copy of that one some day. Maybe I'll ask the library to get one. I'm still coveting Bill's Has Been cd. |

If not for having to be on someone else's comp, I'd be on dial-up. |

Speaking of books, if you're having some Star Trek withdrawal symptoms while waiting for the new movie - or for your dvd's to arrive in the mail - or whatever Trek you appreciate and haven't seen for awhile.....try a book! I have a collection of some 300 books. I've always got something to read with me wherever I go. You never know when you'll get a few extra minutes or longer. Waiting for the bus, dentist's office, coffee break or whatever, a good book will always make the wait a little bit shorter.

Well, it seems that my picture posting days are coming to an end. At least until we can afford better internet access, hopefully in the fall time. We tried this dial-up's "high speed" version and it distorts the pictures in photobucket so bad that I can't make heads or tails out of most of the pictures. In fact what may be what I think is a turkey dinner could very well be an alien autopsy. I just can't tell! And that would be embarrassing during Thanksgiving time if I tried to describe it as a turkey dinner....then again it might be perfect! We've tried to turn the high speed off and it won't cooperate. False advertising. The Rubber Room has been a sanctuary to me and also the cafe' thread, too. Been a lot of stormy times in the past couple of years and these threads have sheltered me. I've thought about leaving the site for good and relaxing more, but how else am I supposed to generate alot of weird stuff when I'm down in the dumps? This makes me feel good, this Rubber Room. That's why when Sue Marie suggested we needed a Rubber Room because it was all effed up on the rest of the board, I jumped at the chance to create one. Thanks for the inspiration, Sue. I think I'll leave all the picture posting to you guys, if you're still game, and I'll come in here and sing a little song, recite a bit of crappy poetry, do a little soft-shoe..shuffle, shuffle, slide, tap, tappity, tap, tap, yeah!
Just to feel better again every once in a while. Just every once in a while.
The bonus in not seeing the pictures is that I can't see the ones in Debb's guys thread! Could be two honeydoo melons w/ a cat underneath them for all I know! Gave that crap up for Lent! Yes, indeedy! There's always a silver lining around that old storm cloud. |
