I imagine the US would only do something if they felt they had something to gain from it...IMHO |

It should not be the US, but a world effort. This fiasco has gone on for far too long.
How are you, Littlestar? I'm off to Egypt again, this August... another scarab, perhaps? |

I read where the US is still sending aid; however, is it really going to those who need it?
Why do I smell a very large RAT in all of this? Someone somewhere wants all of these people out of the way. For what? the land? It is like what happened in New Orleans. People had to have known about the faulty levees and did nothing about them. It was just a matter of time before people would be wiped out. Now look at the place. People are homeless, while the land they once called home is being turned into high-price dwellings for outsiders.
Kind of reminds me of The Johnstown Flood disaster (or Great Flood of 1889 as it became known locally) occurred on May 31, 1889.

What is it going to take short of a non-Earth enemy to pull us together as citizens of the world?
Sorry for the negativity, but I am pissed off right now. |

That is outrageous! Especially since she is the rightful leader of Burma.
I doubt that the World will ever do anything. People have grown too selfish, and spend too much time bickering over petty crap. Countries are too busy arguing to help each other. The human race is really quite sad. |
