Iv got every one of Bill's star trek books and love them today I had what I think is a great idea. I think it would be really cool if they turned them in to straight to dvd animated movies.
what are you thoughts ? |

I like the idea Lots of people feel that the books are immensely better than what Hollywood has churned out for Trek movies. Picking up where Kirk died and became regenerated by the Borg is a good starting point for the computer generated animations. As far as a company willing to take on such a large project..the time and money involved... finding voices compatible to mimic Doohan and Kelly....maybe George Lucas would like to take it on..the irony would be heavenly. |

I dint think of voices
but it works for Marvel they turn anything in a movie these days I would have thought paramount would do it if there was interest don't they have the rights to star trek still |

Paramount does and that's the stumbling block. I'm not a Hollywood type, of course, and I imagine they might have the means to do it, but there are people working for them who have colossally bad ideas and for some reason Paramount buys into them each time. Case in point James Tiberius Kirk dying on Veridian 3 w/ JeanLuc taking the helm of the Trek movies. No matter how old Kirk was, Kirk should have gone on to living a full life in the Nexxus or been written to where he'd gotten out of it instead of dying on that ugly little planet. To this day I still won't own that movie out of protest. Even when I saw it at the thrift store for $2.00 the other day. Kirk should have ridden off into the sunset w/ that Antonia that he was making eggs and toast for in that movie AFTER Kirk and Picard vanquished Malcolm McDowell. Then again the domesticated life probably would have gotten on Kirk's nerves after a while....soooo, animating the books at the time that Kirk gets resurrected by the Borg would be a good thing. Kirk goes back and forth as to whether he wants to be a family man or a space cowboy, back and forth, back and forth. Now that's some good stuff! |

Del Torro, is good
hmmmmm.....John Hurt? Possibly, though the skuttlebutt for a while was whether Gary Sinise would play McCoy in the new movie...I've always been partial to him. And I don't know much about McAvoy to say yay or nay...There's one Scottish guy who was on Stargate Atlantis who played the doctor that people were also considering for Montgomery Scott. But, I think he got voted out for McAvoy. Daisydownunder is partial to him. |

I have been saying for a long time on this forum, that Bills books would make for great CGI movies. Even Bill says he like this format, and lets face it a lot of the "voices are still with us.
I have seen every episode ever made of Star Trek and every Movie. They all have merit. IMHO "I also Own every one as well"
But I have to say that TOS is my first love
Paul McGillion is the actor who should have played Scotty in the new movie. However I am told that he has a small part in it.
Due to fans protesting ( me included) we got Paul Back in to Stargate Atlantis. He has a great personality.

That's the guy! Yeah, he's a hottie! I like his personality alot and he has a dreamy accent. I haven't seen the recent ST Atlantis shows, yet. I didn't know that they were still in production. The last one I remember of McGillion being in was when he was a clone of the origional doctor and had to be put in a stasis chamber so they could find a way for him to not die. Did they find a cure? Did they thaw him out? That would be cool if they did! |

I'm pretty sure he'll be in five episodes in season 5, so it's not much but at least a quarter of the season. I'm curious to see what role he plays in the new Star Trek movie - maybe a relation to Scotty? |

 | I haven't watched wrestling since I was a kid and they had a Ted Dibiasi back in '83. Never paid attention to the ladies, naturally. |

Well then, if you start to watch wrestling again, you'll be shocked to see that as of this past week on the WWE's Raw program, Ted DiBiase Jr. was just introduced to the WWE proclaiming that everybody had a price but he was priceless.
Do I smell another father/son angle? hmmmm... |

Wow! Father and son! I'm not too sure I'll be watching wrestling anytime soon. It's changed so much since I was a kid. But then again, it's still the same violent soap opera it's always been. And I know, I know, people swear that bop upside the head with that folding metal chair is real, yeah, but I say it's all staged. I hate all the screaming and the grandstanding from all those bada$$es. I like peace and quiet. If I do come across the wrestling on tv I just mute it, peruse the muscle and channel surf afterwards. |
