So we've been working on our backyard for awhile now. Put in the pool, deck, concreted a big patio, put in a walkway. Now we're ready to get bricks to build a firepit. So obviously we'll have to tear down the old back porch overhang. So we're all ready to git er dun, right?
WRONG!!
Guess we'll have to wait awhile longer. |

awwwwwwwwwwww
Birds have a way of getting thier way in raising a family in the most unexpected places!
Looks like they won't be there long as the chicks look like they are fledged pretty good and almost as big as the Mom!

Ah, those are so cute! So often we have to wait for the "kids" to grow up before we can finish renovations....... |

Oooopsy-poopsy!!!! I hate it when that kind of thing happens!!! Perhaps it's just Mother Nature's way of telling you that you need to slow down??? |

Starlings are all in the attic now and the babies are almost ready to be on their own and thank goodness for that because the helpless ones were victims to the storms lately. They drowned on the backyard lawn. As soon as we can in the fall time we'll try and cover the attic venting under the eaves so that they can't build nests again next spring. Too hot now to even try it. |

I wish one little birdy who "calls" outside my bedroom window every morning for a mate would get lucky. He must have a nest somewhere, because he's sure advertising for a gal. But, I don't enjoy his singing at 4 am........ I wonder if they have birdie "gals of the evening"??? |
