I've never gotten to view the pleasure that is the Dr. Who series since I don't have the BBC... I've just got basic extended cable and don't get nifty channels like that in Ohio.

but it sounds like those that do watch faithfully are going to have a great time.

Smile

Oh Wow! I've never heard of him having a daughter! Is she a Time Lord, too? Or is she half of one because he likes Earth women? I sure do hope I still have cable by the time it gets over this way! Hot Damn! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

She was an adopted granddaughter according to the novel 'Dalek Invasion of Earth'

There was no mention of her as being adopted in the show.

Was the episode written before the novel or the novel written after the episode in question?

Does the kettle serve tea and the pot cook porridge?

It was one the Terrance Dicks books from the 60's/70's. They were aimed at kids but I remember they were quite entertaining; and almost word for word/scene for scene the same as the corresponding episode.

I don't drink tea and I hate porridge. Coffee (black) and good fry-up and I'm happy.
