If you have seen the video, "How WS Changed the World," then you already know a lot of the techno-stuff that we practically take for granted today came out the imaginations of ST folks.
The next step in making that ideal world of peace and harmony is to bring about the social changes needed to make that happen. This is the hard part because people cannot be formulated into some sort of mathematical or scientific equation. It becomes the "not so glamorous job" of folks like me who are striving in the field of sociology to find ways to allow our society as a people catch up to the techno-world that we have created.
"OK, Susan, speak English and get to the point!"
The WSW is more than just a group of folks following some celebrity around like teeny-boppers. It is a chance to actually come together with someone, who just happens to be a celebrity. to help make a difference in the lives of children and others who need help. It is also a chance to help bring about healing and peace in the world, one child or person at a time.
If you want more then just a Trekkie convention experience where everything is mostly fantasy, than the WSW is an experience of a genuine kind that can actually make a difference. It is a chance for real people who genuinely believe in a world where there is no hunger, no homelessness, and no war to work together to help find solutions.
It's also a lot of fun!!!  |

| I'm glad you had such a wonderful experience! I wish there weren't a ton of reasons why I can never go to these things, but it's always comforting to know that a lot of people are out there fighting for change and peace. |
