Hopefully this bodes well for our favorite TV show, BOSTON LEGAL!
(Keep your fingers crossed!) -sm

Fans send a big 'SOS' for 'Boston Legal' ; Voters weigh in on 'bubble' series USA Today (FIRST) - May 01, 2008 - p D.1, LIFE
By Gary Levin
Fans want their Denny Crane fix. Boston Legal, featuring the lawyer played by William Shatner, topped the list of endangered series viewers most want back in USA TODAY's 11th annual Save Our Shows poll.
CBS' The New Adventures of Old Christine and The Unit also scored well: More than 40% of respondents voted to keep both for another season.
Viewers were least enthused about Fox's Kelsey Grammer sitcom Back to You; only 18% wanted it back. And though ABC's Women's Murder Club had many backers, it also was the show that the highest percentage of voters wanted killed.
This year's survey shrank to 11 series, half as many as last year. The writers' strike led networks to prematurely renew five series that would have been "on the bubble": ABC's Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money and Private Practice, and NBC's Life and Chuck.
NBC's early scheduling announcement also ended uncertainty about Lipstick Jungle and Medium (both will return). Scrubs already is producing episodes for its new home on ABC.
And Fox has picked up Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for fall. The decision was made in mid-April, after the poll began. Two more series not yet officially renewed, CBS' How I Met Your Mother and Fox's 'Til Death, are nearly certain to win another season.
More than 30,000 votes were cast in the online, unscientific survey, down from past years when more shows -- several with loyal cult followers -- populated the list.
For the first time, USA TODAY collected more specific information on voters. Despite a low 20% overall support typical of low-rated series, CW's Reaper was the favorite among respondents who said they were in their 20s. CBS' Shark, considered a long shot for renewal, was the favorite pick among readers in their 50s and 60s. The Unit won the biggest proportion of votes from blacks.
Legal producer David E. Kelley says his show's fate may rest with a renegotiation of its price tag before ABC's May 13 schedule announcement. "I don't think it's a show that can last forever like Law & Order," he says. "We have stories in the bank that are good for another year or two. After that, we'd have to sit down and see if it's time to stop."
But Kelley, whose remake of BBC's Life on Mars is also in contention for a fall slot, is familiar with his precarious position: "It's like a dance with a girl hanging out by the punch bowl, hoping we get asked by the time midnight chimes."
