Did you have things like this in your home,or wear clothes like this?

Look back and have a good laugh, at the cutting edge from the JC Penney catalogue of 1977

It was hard for those of us that were young in the 1970's ,just look at what we thought was cool,...Just look at the size of those belt loops Wink

This guy needs to give David Soul his "threads" back Laughing

And look at the suits guys were wearing,

Image

That suit came with a matching bathroom set Wink

Image

just check out the width of those lapels

Image

And look at what was hip for the home in 1977, we call it " upholstery to old barrels"

Image

Then maybe time for a round of golf, in this snazzy suit?

Image

Ladies don't think that you escaped the fashion disasters Wink

And then it was time for bed... Laughing

so do you still think were you "cool" in the 70's...? Laughing

I don't know about cool, but I was a heck of a lot shorter in the 70's. Thanks to T.M.I., no one can call me half-pint anymore. Well, they can but it wouldn't be accurate.

We still have a left-over from the 70's around here. A store called, "Just Clogs".

I don't know, what did the cool babies wear in the years of 76, 77, 78, and 79?

And for the record, I've actually been looking at some of the women's fashion of the 70s - and while I don't like the patterns, a lot of the ways the clothing was cut is better then now. At least women's clothing - most of the time - actually looked like clothing for women.

I remember mini-skirts, granny dresses and hot pants.

I don't see what's so "uncool" about the 70s anyway. One of the world's greatest singers/songwriters came into fame in the 70s.

Though personally I think he's even better looking now then he was then. And an even better singer. His voice has really matured.

Oh my, it's been a while.....

I remember mini's, midi's and maxi's as far as dresses were concerned. Couldn't make it out of the house in a mini, but we gals use to wear belts we could roll part of the dress up in once we were out of our parents watchful eyes........ Wink

Nah, while most gals wore mini's up to their undies almost, my mom and dad (as well as a few of my friend's parents) wanted us to wear our skirts down to our knees. So, when possible, you wore a belt, so you could inch up the skirt an inch or two. Still longer than most of the gals by a long shot.
