Post subject: 5.2 quake hits Midwest this am

Things were rattling this morning here in Illinois and a 5.2 quake hits West Salem Illinois at 4:10 this morning.Aftershocks were felt as far away as Iowa, Indiana Kentucky and Ohio, and we had some slight shaking.
There was more damage in Kentucky and Tennessee than in Illinois but tremors were felt in some parts of Chicago.
The New Madrid fault was acting up again and they said that one day it could blow again as it idid in the 1811-1812 era. That quake was strong enough to shift the course of the Mississippi river!

| I heard something on the radio (Paul Harvey) where the local electric companies were going to use generators for power until they can get the lines fixed...months from now. Months? |

| Wow. I haven't turned on the news yet, so I hadn't heard this. I hope there were no serious damages or lives lost. |

Pictures are coming in from all over and no injuries are being reported so far. The biggest damage has been in Ky right now with some structural damage.
The epicenter was 2 miles sw of West Salem Ill and there was another seperate quake also being reported in W. Valparaso Indiana now about the same time there was one in Ill.

| Hope everyone is ok. The fault lines from the New Madrid run all along here,too. We've felt some of the quakes also. It's rare for one to get that big over here, though. All the canyons that are west of here were made by the quakes. Scary! |

We had another aftershock at around 12:45 Midnight Sunday . It's the third aftershock and it was 4.5 and it shook my house . I am about 60 miles from the epic center in the Mount Carmel , Illinois area .
The first 5.4 earthquake was around 4:36 am Friday and I was at work and to see the semi trucks rock and to feel the asphalt rumble under my feet reminded me of the San Francisco earthquake I was in on October 17th , 1989 . |

An earthquake last week in Texas and now earthquakes in Illinois? If this isn't in accordance to The Prophecy then nothing is!!! Head For The Hills!!! |
