ASB, I knew you were just having fun with the comment about Australia being the best. You might actually become the best some day, but first, you've got to account for my sister-in-law. Now normally I hate to blame any one country for something like that, but someone needs to be held responsible for her........... |

I just hope this election passes quickly, so I can get onto the important business of blaming whoever gets elected for everything under the sun. I'm not saying I'm happy with Bush, I'm not for a lot of things, but geez, he's blamed for everything from the climate to fallen arches.
One example is a local "disagreement" between two NA tribes. One tribe currently has a gaming casino south of Portland. It pretty much attracts people from all around the Portland area, and southern Washington. Okay, now another tribe wants to build a gaming casino in southern Washington. (I'm not naming cities and tribes, because I don't know if it would be acceptable to do so). There has been some rather bitter fighting (all over money), harsh words said, and a heck of a lot of outright bs and lies . The latest commercial claimed that it was "The Bush administration" who was behind trying to put this new casino in. And that we should all say no to the Bush Administration, and stop them from putting in this casino. WTF??? Bush has got nothing to do with this situation. It's such a load of crap, I'm just really sick of it anymore. I guess it's nice to have a scapegoat that you can blame everything under the sun on, but how utterly pathetic and juvenile to need to do so. When, oh when, will people actually take responsibility for themselves? There, I feel better having gotten that out........ |

As for the VP choices well I just can not get much informaation on each of the posabilities other than opinions from people that I do not know so I don't know the basis they make their assessments.
Obama asked his people to pay off halv of hilaries deb't, there is certainly warming in the camps and this may lead to the dream team ticket after all. |
I'm also having a bit of fun with my comment! I can't ever remember posting a comment that either made sense or had any value whatsoever.
You don't need a lot of info about the veep choices, since there isn't a large pool to choose from...just like the presidential choices! This is probably the most boring election I've experienced due to the lack of choices. My V.P. pick for either candidate is The Cheat. For more info on The Cheat, visit homestarrunner.com! It's a terrific site for people interested in politics and it's funny! |

When the Dems fail at any kind of move forward on any issue, they can always blame Bush! That's my prediction. When we have more gridlock on Cappy Hill and when the Dems are in power, their failure is a direct result of the Bush Admin's policies for the past 8 years. They're already saying that now!! They may word it a little differently, something like, "Well, we're in the process of reversing the trend of the last 8 years". You know, some kinda lame excuse like that! |

Well, what will be fun is if we do get a demo in the whitehouse, no matter what he/she does wrong they will blame it somehow on Bush. I don't care if that person starts World War III, bans sex among people over 25, and makes it legal to eat babies, puppies and kittens, somehow they will blame it all on Bush. Personally I do blame George. George Washington. Why if that ol' so and so hadn't become our first president, none of these current presidential mishaps would have happened. Yep. It's Washington's fault. All of it. Yep, every last bit. Uh huh. Gonna stick to that story. Yep. Gonna. Gonna do it. Cause it's his fault. Uh huh..... |

| True! I bet once he took that powdered wig off, he was BALD! Wooden teeth, a tree chopper, and bald! No wonder they refuse to teach kids about our founding fathers these days! |

An ASB Political Blog
Well having a look at the media it is showing a few changes in emphasis at the moment.
McCain has restructured his campaign team again after warnings from those close to him he was not gaining any traction over Obama. One has to wonder how effective the team would be in the White house under McCain. While he needs to distance himself from Bush, the latest team has one of the Bush men in charge of the campaign.
Obama while getting out and giving more of those speeches (I said a while back he needs to do this) he is also back on the fund raising trail. The Primaries cost a lot of money but so far Obama has raised over $300,000,000. The Goal is to raise another 200 million before November. Huge numbers arn't they.
Mean While Hillary is back being a Senator. for now.
Oh the Stock market went into Bull teritory today, fortunatly (last thing you need is low unemployment just now) unemployment also rose, interestingly enough this will assist the housing markets keeping interest rates down, when the Stock market is in Bear territory the housing Market tends to grow as people diversify their investments increasing the equity people have in their homes.
The US Economy while not strong remains resiliant. it does not really play into the hands of either candidate at the moment. |

Who either candidate chose as their running mate is the million dollar question.
I think Obama should ask Colin Powel
McCain should ask Condy Rice. |

Condi has said rather emphatically that she won't accept vp nomination from anyone.
Powell visited with both candidates recently at secret meetings.
So maybe Alfred E. Newman will finally get to the Whitehouse?

I wouldn't trust her there. She's capable of killing with a broom. |
