Yesterday ABC announced pick-ups for their fall line-up and Shatner’s current series Boston Legal was not on the list. However, ABC will be bringing back Trek-related series Lost , Samantha, Who? and Pushing Daisies.

| I certainly hope not. I was interested to see how Bill would bring his character through the depth of alzeimers. |

Hummm... How are those shows Trek-related?
If it is canceled I hope Bill gets a new show, maybe a comedy. I can easily see him doing a Bernie Mack type show. |

It would have, and hopefully still will be, a very fascinating story line. I haven't been able to watch Boston Legal that much for that very reason, though. It hits too close to home. |

Whether Bill's on Boston Legal or not doesn't matter. He's all over the place w/ his novels, movies, guest appearances, and commercials. I'll be content seeing him w/ these things even though I'm going to miss the show. But I must admit that the show was becoming....too pc and kinda embarrassing w/ Denny's outragious sexploits. I didn't know whether to laugh or to groan and hide my eyes. Especially when Denny's desperate enough to come on to Alan. I always wondered how Bill could do those scenes w/ a straight face. I'd be laughing my head off or calling for make-up because my face would be so red! Just goes to show you that Bill's got a strong will and a great acting talent. |

Because he's a professional actor, he can keep in character. It's the essence of acting, no?

I would have to say, "no" to that one. Although remaining in character is vital, I wouldn't conclude it is the essence of acting. The essence and power of the actor lay not in impersonation or character performance but in the movement of thought and soul transmitted in a kind of intense isolation.
We can all agree that Bill is a great actor! |
