The weekend marked the 30th anniversary of the death of singer Marc Bolan. He was killed when his girlfriend's car hit a tree in south west London, on 16 September 1977.Bolan was the founding member of glam rock group T Rex, who topped the UK charts four times in the 1970s with the singles Hot Love, Get It On, Metal Guru and Telegram Sam

| I remember T Rex/Marc Bolan only too well. He was a huge part of my youth and his songs are timeless. Have a listen to some of his stuff before he did a Dylan and went electric, it's beautiful. |
