| I certainly did not have any reason to watch last nite`s emmys although I did read that Sally Field threw some kind of a fit while getting her award. I would have tuned in to see that. |

| I only caught the last 30 minutes of the awards show. I saw Bill present an award. He looked handsome as ever. I am glad that James Spader won the award for best actor in a drama series. He does a phenomenal job. I also saw Sally Field's 'so called fit'. I wouldn't exactly call it a fit. She started to talk about the war, which is a touchy subject I suppose. So they bleeped her out. She made mention to all of the mother's who have lost children in the war. Then I believe what she was trying to say was, "If the mother's were running this county we wouldn't be in a war." That is when they bleeped her out. Are we supposed to pretend that the war in Iraq is not happening? I do understand that they don't want the actors to make the Emmys a place to voice their opinions on politics. I suppose that there is a right time and place for everything. I remember when Kanye West made that statement about George Bush during some awards show. The look of shock on Mike Myers face was priceless when Kanye burst out with,"George Bush doesn't care about black people." Should actors try to use award shows to make a statement about their political views? Are the networks right to be cautious and bleep out what they believe to be politically offensive or is this censorship? |

1. I'm not a Spader fan so BOO to him.! 
2. The show is about fantasy and humans who act it out; it isn't supposed to be about anything real whether poverty, voting or war.
3. I'd heard Heroes was up for an award and was sorry to learn they didn't get one, at least according to my googling the subject.  |

Playing is NOT REALITY.
She should keep her PLAY thoughts to her PLAYTIME and not try to make the award a platform for her real life beliefs. |
