Its been a great week for Scotland as we beat one of the World's best footballing nations in their own back yard and now qualification for Euro 2008 is well within our grasp. It's the first time I've had a chance to come onto the forum to brag about it but the boys did us proud and Scotland is in party-mode. Magnanimous congratulations to BWW and Brits Fan on England's 3-0 win over Russia, that could have been a potential banana-skin game. |

Well played, Graham. Beating the French home & away is a fantastic achievement. Until recently the Scots always seemed to qualify for the major tournaments, looks like you will again.
I love that old commentary you've 'borrowed', that guy was a looney.

| It's been funny watching Sarkozy who tried for some reflected glory first with the rugby team then with the football! In an online poll 60% of the French said they blamed him for the two defeats. The end of the honeymoon perhaps! |
