I held my breath for several moments...truly amazing!
(You may have to hit play a couple times to play all the way through...and then enter the site and watch 2-1/2 year old Jackson Reid)
Check out this site that has Child Drowning Prevention techniques.

That video is something else! But the mom in me makes me panic and get the heebiejeebies from it. I still think good-old fashioned diligence at watching the crumb snatchers is of the utmost importance. |

When we first moved to the Desert I had a choice of a home with a pool or one without...our son was only 2-1/2 and I chose the house without...even though I watched him like a hawk, I felt better not adding more to be concerned about. Later as he became older we took him for swimming lessons. But it seems whenever Summer comes, we hear of a little one drowning in a pool, and it takes only seconds for them to go to the bottom. Last one was at some party and many adults around...really mind boggling.
I think the parents who would use this particular swim program are already very diligent and responsible for their little 'crumb snatchers'...and it really amazes me how young they can be trained. |
