This spoof series invites you to see a 'long lost' 1980s TV chiller from acclaimed novelist, Garth Marenghi. With hammy acting and ridiculously shoddy filmmaking technique, GARTH MARENGHI'S DARKPLACE .Even the opening titles are soooooo camp, that they are almost good.

premise
What if Stephen King had been born a cockney wideboy with no talent whatsoever and had decided to produce a TV show ?. Taking a grand swipe at everything from Kolchak, to The Kingdom, the 1980's ,Cheesy hospital dramas, giant mutant eyeballs, and of course Mockney men who wear medallions, Darkplace is that rarest of things - a satire that actually hits its targets!
Anyone seen it? |
