I saw that. Must have been funny.
I take it that noone from BL won anything. At least, I didn't see it mentioned anywhere.
There is always next year, since BL still has this last season to do. |

Yeah, it's a bummer that Bill didn't win . . .
However, it was a great skit at the beginning of the show! |

Bill gets busy at the Emmys...
(Mark J. Terrill/AP Photo)
The reality TV hosts with the most shared emcee duties at the 60th annual Emmys, a first for the awards show. "Dancing With the Stars" host Tom Bergeron, left, employed the help of "Boston Legal's" William Shatner to start the party -- by pulling off "Project Runway" vixen Heidi Klum's tux to reveal a much skimpier, sexier get up.

I'm sure the fellas are having a great time. I never watch award shows. They put me to sleep. I just don't know why I can't sit through a lot of speeches. |

Don't worry, you didn't miss anything, except maybe for that opening bit with Bill.
AMC and 30 Rock walked away with everything, and other than that, most of the winning shows and actors I'd never heard of. All little weird cable shows that hardly anyone watches.
Bill got screwed, so did Candice Bergen and Hugh Laurie, all the people I was hoping to win. That po'd me enough that I turned it off after Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
I watched the Cowboys beat Green Bay instead.
That made me feel better.
Off to work, have a great day everyone. |

I was working. I wanted to work some extra hours so that I could take a few days off to work on a special project. Without watching the ball game, I could tell when half-time came around, because we got slammed with Pizza order calls.
As for the emmys, I wonder if there was some resentment toward BL and some of the other shows who were able to continue broadcasting their episodes during the writer's strike. If I heard correctly, the BL team was smart enough to have some episodes finished before the strike even began.
Oh well, this makes me more determined to try and motivate folks into joining me in sponsoring a horse for the HCHS in 2009. I certainly can't do it by myself, but I know that if everyone pooled together, we could do it with no sweat.... well.... maybe a little, but hey.... its for our favorite Captain, right? |
