Sounds like you are doing just the right things for your friend Tina. Taking her outside to sit on the grass, getting her a teddy bear, even considering fireworks...LOL...that one would be interesting.
In thinking about miracles, we can sure pray and bombard Heaven for one for Jen...Never know when one will happen, it's all in God's hands, but He does hear our prayers. Take Care. |

Update...
Jen has been weaned off the anti anxiety meds and all the shit she doesn't need. Now she's only on meds to keep the swelling down in her brain and morphine.
She's more active. She's got the damn cathater out, she gets up without help...she walks around, goes to the bathroom and has some of her strength back.
Her speech is much better and she's grasping things more. (both mentally and physically) She's even starting to eat!
We spoke to the neurosurgeon's assistant today and she said that if she maintains the way she is there's no reason to keep her in Pallitive Care. She can either go into a nursing home, or could be taken care of at home. She WANTS to go home, but that's her husband's choice and as yet he doesn't want that. He's trying to hide from the situation. He is having a really hard time dealing with it, but he's the one that has to agree to take her home.
Home Nursing could come in to the house everyday, but someone would have to be with her 24 hrs a day and learn how to give her her meds through the IV. The family is going to talk about it tonight.
So the lady said that as well as she's doing she could go on for months, OR she could have a relapse and be gone just like that. But she IS showing signs of progress.
I was very encouraged when I was there today. I hope thre's more progress tomorrow.
I'm hoping she can go back home. If not to her house, then to her parent's home. Putting her in a nursing home wouldn't help her. She would still be combative and try to run away. (Today her sister's boyfriend took her outside for a walk and she got away from him and tried to get on the bus LOL Then when he tried to stop her she screamed at Valet to help her get away from Rob. LOL That's my girl!) |

| I'm so glad to hear that there's been some improvement in her condition. I pray that trend continues, and that she can go home. |

I hope that her family comes to a decision that is good for all.
It must be really difficult for her husband to come to term with what is happening and he must be in shock: maybe he just needs time to think.
With you in thought.
