And how do we know that God is just female?
How do we know that God isn't both? |

| I'm sorry...I have respect for all of you and your religious convictions, but this is NOT a Bible Study Board...and it will lead to trouble if this thread continues.... |

All Paul has to do is delete this thread and that will be the end of it. |

The original post cites slights against Jesus Christ. According to the Religious Tolerance site: "The Church Council of Laodicea circa 364 CE ordered that religious observances were to be conducted on Sunday, not Saturday. Sunday became the new Sabbath. They ruled: 'Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday, but shall work on that day.'"
| Quote: | Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
Does that mean we should still live under that law? |
Keep reading that passage, as Matthew 5:19 answers your question for believers: "Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Hoookay! I've had a few complaints about this thread. I'm not going to delete it; I am going to lock and close it though.
Just a couple comments on the wrath of God issue that started the spiral downward. There are certainly examples in many religions of God's wrath against man from Biblical to even Asian religions use Tsunami's as examples of the Wrath of God.
So examples exist in many different places not just the Bible.
With that said. I get off my soapbox and remind people that certain topics such as race, religion, politics...stuff that your grandmother told you not to use in mixed company are probably a good rules of thumb for posting on this board. |
