| Bill is a living legend and one of the most good-looking actors in the history of television and it`s just funny to see him paired with James Spader. Television standards just aren`t what they use to be. The guy looks looks like a red-headed Potsie Webber. |

Bite your tongue there young man!
James Spader once told a talk show host who had just asked him about the rumors of Bill being difficult to work with. His answer was that he wanted to work with Bill and requested that there be many scenes between the two of them. He said that Bill was a brilliant actor and then he wanted to learn from him.
Plus, if you watch BL enough, you begin to see a little Shatner style of acting rubbing off on James. As a matter of fact, some of James' voice inflections seem to emulate Bill's.
James is a fine actor and deserved his Emmy, just as Bill did.
Now, young man! Go wash your mouth out with soap and say 10 Hail Marys.
or would you prefer the "board of correction?" |

Okay, well, I don't know who Potsie Webber is, but James Spader has dark brown hair, he's not a redhead. I agree with you that Bill is a living legend AND the most good-looking actor in the history of TV, but James Spader deserves our support as well as Bill does. I sincerely hope that they BOTH win in all of the categories BL is in for all of the Emmys.
Actually, much of what SMB was saying is true, if you watch a lot of BL. Shatner's stare, eye movements, and voice inotation ARE rubbing off on Spader, and, if what Spader was saying is true, then I believe that Spader is learning a lot from Shatner regarding acting techniques. |

To say James Spader isn't a good actor is wrong, have you seen the dialogue this man has to say week after week. he is a brilliant actor, and the chemistry I see is that of Spock and Kirk. There other great folks on TV other than Bill .

Potsie Webber is a character from a tv show called Happy Days dealing with teenagers of the 1950's. Potsie was a cute singer who was considered lacking in intelligence. His charactor was played by Anson Williams. Happy Days also had a charactor named the Fonz. The ultimate of cool back then. Besides Kirk, of course. |

Spader's cool. If you've never seen the show, then you have no idea how good these guys play off each other.
Anyone know when the new season starts? |

You know, back when Happy Days was on the air, I used to wonder if I was related to Henry Winkler. My grandmother's maiden name was Winkler.
Oh well, that fact and .50 would buy me a cup of coffee (that was also back with coffee was cheap). |

I think BL starts on September 25th. It says so on boston-legal.org but is tentative, so keep your eyes and ears open. |
