| I am seriously thinking about building a greenhouse and growing our own veggies. That way, I won't have to worry about things like that. Plus, the way I grow food, I don't have to worry about preserving anything. I use the square-foot method and only grow as we need it. At most the veggies stay in the fridge or on counter until eaten, which is a relatively short time. |

I'm with you. I have a yard large enough to feed us all summer and freeze the rest to be eaten during the winter months.

I try to stay away from anything with "French" on the label, including fries.
They are greasy and bad for you, kind of like some French people. |

Maybe people will start to can their own foods again
Like with Beer a few years back with people making there own home brews and also a lot more micro breweries starting up locally. Maybe we will see more specialty canneries. I have noticed that a lot of these manufactured product problems have been with the bargin store brands. But it would seem that a lot of these products are made by the same company maybe they should either switch companies or make it clear on the label so people can make more of an informed decision on the track record of that company rather than the brand name the store is selling it as. |
