A key road bridge over the Mississippi river in the US state of Minnesota has collapsed in the evening rush hour killing at least seven people.
At least 60 were injured when part of the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis gave way at 1805 (2305 GMT) on Wednesday.
As the structure buckled, up to 50 vehicles were hurled into the water.
The US Department of Homeland Security said there was no reason to suspect the collapse of the bridge, which had been undergoing repairs, was terror-related. "Obviously this is a catastrophe of historic proportions," Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty told a news conference. Fire chief Jim Clack said rescuers did not expect to find any more survivors after the search was called off earlier because of darkness.

I was TEASING YOU | As i do NOT know you personally,i am not to know what you consider "teasing".Nor can it cause "strife" between two people who do not know each other. Though i seem to recall you have been very vocal, and i may say not too polite,on occasions here when you feel that some one is making a comment about you.I shall be sure to point out any time, that you post a topic that has already been posted.
As for the British humour, i believe i have displayed that on many dozens of occasions, here.
anyway moving on,as this bores me now.......
"Becareful when the British Bulldog growls,as his bite is far worse than his bark"
Winston Churchill |

Hmmm... I don't recall that...I'd like to see it
Anyway if you're bored with it....so sorry..if I do repost something already posted, PLEASE, feel free to point that out to me
If the bulldog wishes to bite, please find a fatty area to do so
I thought as a fellow EE fan you wouldn't take this so much to heart...
but I learned something today....
At least I put out an effort to make peace with you... |

I remember a couple years ago that Britstarfan did this wonderfully wacky collage of Bohemian Rhapsody using pictures that sounded like the words to the song with subtitles. It was a work of genius and must have taken him a very long time to put together. I wish there was a way he could show that one again.
LittleStar is in my opinion one of the most funniest ladies of this board. She's very witty and constantly keeping me in stitches. I always look forward to seeing what she has to say and show to the board.
Why are tempers so short anymore? I'm truly baffled!! |
