clique!?! I am not aware of any cliques here. I know that some folks enjoy certain topics and may start threads on the topic of choice. It doesn't necessarily mean that everyone is obligated to post replies on that thread. Different topics appeal to different people here.
For example, I don't particularly care to go to the threads that discuss sports.... football, soccer, etc... I am just not a big sports fan. On the other hand, I had a thread for those of us who are trying to loose a few pounds around the middle. I didn't expect everyone to jump in, but those who did, enjoyed it.
Not everyone goes to the cafe, but it is there for anyone to pop in, share some laughs (or in my case,, some tears).
And who is brave enough to wander into Vito's office anyways?  
It seems that perhaps you have gotten your feeings hurt here. If so, please don't think that anyone is ignoring you or trying to shun you.
Just jump in and start posting. Don't get too serious about stuff. Keep in mind that folks have various schedules to keep and may not post as often as others. Some folks are on the other side of the globe and often visit while others are sleeping.
The choice is certainly yours to make, but please give it a chance. |

Cliques and favorites? I'm just damned lucky that people put up with me at all! I don't think of myself as someone who thinks of cliques and favorites. I like to talk to anyone who is willing to talk to me. I'm not as well-read or full of knowledge when it comes to anything, but I still like to be here regardless. As for Vito's thread, I rarely go there if I can help it  Re-think your decision, please? |

I wasn't sure what to expect when I first joined this circus...ere.. forum.
I wondered if I was like EllyMae Clampett coming into a community of folks who were richer, smarter, and more glamorous than plain jane me.
I was wrong. Oh sure, there are some folks who rarely respond to my posts, but that's OK because some of the topics they choose to post about don't necessarily interest me either and that is OK with me.
There are some who no longer come here who I still communicate with by other means (can I whisper the name 'Patty').
Angel dear...... we don't just tolerate you...... you are a viable part of our cyber community and who care if you don't know all of the characters in the latest Italian Opera! Most folks here wouldn't know either.... The important thing is you are here and it wouldn't be the same without you.
Why is it with all of a sudden, we are experiencing a great exodus anyways? Did Vito leave the door to his outhouse open again!?!

Because they "Don't want to leave" They want someone to "Stop" them Or it's just a cry for help....

| I also admire how you know so much about tribal facts and the infrastructures of the tribes and the cultural aspects. I've always had an interest in that stuff and used to devour books of that nature when I was a kid and any other anthropological book on many cultures. Myths and what not. If I hadn't been such a wuss and had money I would have loved to have been a relic hunter Unrealistic expectations. But a neat dream all the same. |

| Honestly, I think some of the people who are all "There's too many cliques" here and all whiney like that are simply looking to cause trouble. If they choose to leave, good ridance. We don't need trouble makers here. We're too good at causing trouble all on our own. |

Sometimes, when people leave ...they need to cause an Exodus...thereby showing their control, or power, over others...it is funny how members that haven't been on the Board for ages come on just to announce they are leaving....it's happened before and will happen again...even if it is WEAK
You may learn alot just watching....
