If Captain Kirk were president... what would he do?
***NOTE*** I do not intend for this to be a hotly contested of politically charged thread... it's just a hypothetical about Captain Kirk's leadership abilities as they apply to the White House. Humorous or not... what do you think?

Very funny Daisy... I see the innocent look on your face and the halo above your head... but I also see those horns holdin' up the halo!
For those that might not get it however... We've seen some members of this board be too sensitive to the topic of the War in Iraq... so I was seeking a way to eliminate the chance of getting the thread locked.

I can see him giving a speech (much like Picard) and then firing people right and left for not living up to the ideals of the Federation..I mean, USA.

I can see it now...

The 'little people', the average citizen, Joe Sixpack...they would be the benificiaries of President Kirk's policies. He wouldn't stand for people being treated bad just because they aren't wealthy, he wouldn't stand for these punk gangs, he'd be something we've needed for decades...
A TRUE LEADER!
Of course, he'd have the ladies vote....
As for foreign policy, I'd bet that the USA would recieve a LOT more respect from countries like North Korea, France, etc. |
