| J.J. Abrams said that he is looking for a way to get Bill into the film. J.J. wants Bill...Bill wants to be in the movie...let's not make this harder than it has to be! I'm curious to see how they've incorporated only Leonard's Spock into the film so far and not Bill's Kirk...exciting times! |

| Brian something tells me that the Internet uproar over the last week or so may have trickled up to Abrams. However, I think Nimoy is being extremely persistent in pushing for a place for Bill. Hopefully it works. One thing I hope is that it isn't a 1 scene and then Bill turns it down because it's too small. But I think J.J. is professional enough to know that beforehand. Apparently they have no idea who they want as young Kirk. Shatner Kirk is not dead yet, just mostly dead, to quote Miracle Max. |

According to CHUD website, Abrams said the following at the convention:

That sounds good, Grizzlor and Harry! Leonard said he didn't do Generations because he didn't want an insignificant cameo. I guess his role in the new film is worthy of his time, then! I can tell that J.J. cares about Star Trek and its stars with the way he's gone about trying to get Bill and Leonard involved. I'm sure Bill would love to play Kirk one more time, especially if he gets to do it with Leonard! Who knows, maybe we'll even be lucky enough to have Kirk finally brought back from the dead  |

It sounds promising but what bothers me is that if you go to the ShatnerVision piece (which was filmed a week ago Monday -before the NJ convention) Bill is very clear in stating he knew he wasn't in the movie and promised not to say anything - then the writers spoke to MTV and it spiralled from there.
Is it a CYA tactic to escape Comic Con alive or is it true?
We wait and see but I do believe that Bill thinks he is not in the movie at this point in time.

I think Bill will be in it some where:) maybe they will at least Bury Kirk in a heroes grave:) and maybe a long flash back of Kirk maybe a Spock dream:) goes on and on doesn't it:) There is always possibilities

Here is an actor I met who is trying his hardest to get the role of Kirk: Todd Masterson
I think that he looks like a young Kirk would and could very well play the part. What do you guys think?
