No That trip compared to my Egypt trip was a doddle:) ( Easy)
To Get to Egypt I had to fly from Perth to Sydney, Change planes.
To Singapore Change planes. then to Germany, Change planes. Then back To Egypt have a look at that on the maps:)
It Took me 40 hours 32 Flying Nearly 9 in airports, I was very ,very tired, But the joy of seeing the Pyramids and the culture for a few days was worth every painful moment.
I was on my own and I was in my 60s
I have never understood where this courage comes from because I am a reclusive person by nature.

I planned to go back to Egypt this summer for a month, but Cambodia will suffice. Actually, I'll get back to Egypt either at Christmas or in the spring.
GREAT PLACE!!! |

I wish I were brave enough to venture out of my own country. I am not so much afraid of flying as I am terrified of the thought of going somewhere and then not being able to get back.
Either that or going somewhere and unknowingly do something incredibly stupid due to shear ignorance.
I guess, I will have to settle for exploring this country of mine. There are so many places I have never been. |

No disrespect, but that is baffling! There is nothing out "there" to be afraid of. The more you travel, the more you realise that people are just... well, people. Trust me, and get going... |

Daisy,
I saw the video of Bill answering your question. The insert of the Twilight Zone photo was priceless. I would love to go to Egypt. I have never been out of the US. I simple dread the thought of traveling for that length of time. I am going to have to just do it. The longest plane ride I have ever been on is 4 hours. I don't particularly enjoy flying. Best wishes, TK |

These days Flying can be horrendous. but how else can we see such wonders. My last longest trip was from Canada back home , after my 2 weeks away . 3 planes. nearly 4 hours Canada/LA , 14 hours LA /Sydney and 1 hour Syd to Wagga Wagga:) , 7 hours delay in Canada 3 hours in LA, 3 hours in Sydney:) 32 hours:) driving Banff to Calgary 3 hours, 1 hour from Wagga to home all up 36 hours:)
Just along the road Mate !
5 days deaf from all the noise, I have the same affliction as Bill, Tinnitus!
was it worth all that
You betcha!!!!
