Just now I was searching TrekWeb and there was this article:

http://trekweb.com/articles/2007/07/20/ ... ts-A.shtml

Now, I guess they want a YOUNGER actor, and its not Damon? Then WHO IS IT!? I WANT TO KNOW! I think all of us deserve to know who will be playing Kirk. I also think that JJ Abrams should pick an actor FAST, because there's not much time left until his release date of Christmas, unless they're pushing back the date of release...

Hollywood doesn't always obey time lines. Sometimes it's almost like they're on island time and sometimes they rush things and wind up with a real lemon. Good things come to those who wait. Hopefully this will be a good thing instead of a lemon. Wink Cool We're all anxious for the results. Most of us hoping for the best and fairly confident that it will be the best. Some of us not so much looking forward for the results because of disappointment. Whatever happens will happen and we just got to "ride along and find out" as my mama used to say when we were on a long drive. I figure this is going to be a bumpy one. Strap yourself in real good and ride it out Cool Very Happy Very Happy Laughing

I think he has got someone in mind and WILL be looking for a younger actor who WOULD bear a creditable resemblence to a young Kirk. Again, I would throw Alex Pettyfer's name into the ring.

I don't see it Graham2271...

Alex Pettyfer

He may have the attitude but I don't see the look. Maybe if they cut the length of his nose and putty up the cleft, and that was the most Kirk like pic I found.

Trek fans deserved not to have Kirk knocked off in the first place. paramount has been listening to their inner child long enough. He or she is obviously not a tos fan.
