Just saw a commercial for a reality show that's going to be airing in the fall where a bunch of kids are in charge of a mock old west town. They face the elements and eachother. The ages range from 12-18yrs from the looks of them. Evidently some of them have already gone through this. Wonder how much the councelling bills are going to be? Shocked Shocked I'm all for competition and responsibility in kids. But a type of Survivor show for kids? Sounds like a re-make of Lord of the Flies to me. Maybe they'll do a better job of governing than adults do! I'm not too sure I would allow my kids on something like that. There's enough back-biting at my home without exposing them to more.

What do you think about all of that? Cool

I would be interesting though to see how those children solve problems that arise, without adult influence. They may just teach us a few things about how the future will be handled. It would be great if the kids could work past the prejudices and other adult hang-ups and find real solutions to problems that could very well translate into real solutions for the world's problems.

Who was it who said, "The world will be lead by a child?"

They're promoting this heavily on TV but I'm not really interested in watching it. I would imagine the viewers will be the same age group as the kids. lol

I think it might be. My son is the one who saw the commercial and he didn't say any differently. I can see the troubles in the show arising now after what you just said Laughing Cool

For a while now I have wondered why they call these stupids shows reality when we all know that this is furthest from the truth. pretend scenarios.

Good night folks nearly midnight:)

Don't know, Doc. I'll see if I can try to find something about it on the old computer, soon. I didn't even see the commercial. My son had told me about it.

Laughing There are Adults Supervising this behind the scenes; A. It's the Law and B. without adults it would be out of control and the children would not last a day.

This show is a waste of money; the cash invested could go to all types of children funds.
