| With all the rumours about Gary Sinse playing Doctor McCoy in the film, it has possibly escaped the notice of some that this film will be set in the early 2250's when Christopher Pike had just succeeded Robert April as Enterprise Captain, therefore a younger actor would be required to play McCoy and isn't Sinse in his fifties? John Kelly, the actor who plays Doctor McCoy in "Star Trek: New Voyages" does bear a resemblence to DeForrest, and is a decent actor who looks as if he is in his late twenties, so perhaps he could be considered for the role of a young McCoy. Andy Bray who plays Chekov in "NV" could also possibly play the teenage Chekov. |
