...still plodding along through book six while my new book sits and waits for me............
NOW THIS JUST IN which makes me more concerned than a muggle shoud be:
NEW YORK, Jul 24, 2007 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Some Harry Potter fans in the United States didn't get the whole story about the wizard's fate in the series finale because chunks of pages were missing.
Some readers who bought "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" during the weekend release discovered they could use a spell or two to conjure up absent pages in the 759-page tome, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported Tuesday. Some reported a few pages missing; others said their books were 30 pages lighter.
Scholastic, the book's U.S. publisher, said at least 200 people reported missing pages. The BBC reported books in Australia and New Zealand did not include two chapters. A handful of readers on message boards at Amazon.com and eBay also aired complaints over missing pages.
"Printing and distributing 12 million copies of a book is a Herculean task, and it is not surprising at all that some would have printing errors," Scholastic said in a statement Monday morning. The errant copies were found in different parts of the country.
Scholastic said it will replace any book with an error and also recommended customers could return a problem book to the place where it was purchased. |

We're having wand making (whittling) and a potions making class (herbology and medicinal plants) in the Native American summer camp I'm working at. Too fun!
The kids are lovin' it! |

Finsihed it on Wednesday. Great final book, lots of oooh's and aaah's, plot twists, red herrings etc Excellant read
By the way, a student has written the rules to Quiditch and has two teams playing a game next month.
Main rule; player must sit astride broom at all times !! (That makes running interesting ??????? )

Sitting on a broomstick to fly has all the charm of riding a bike by sitting on the bar. |
