Some do it to keep warm on a chilly night. Others think it might burn off a few calories after a heavy dinner.
The spiritual among us might even feel it brings us closer to God. But the main reason for having sex is seldom as straightforward as passion, it is claimed.
While love and attraction remain a clincher for some, psychologists have identified 235 other reasons why men and women want to make love.

It doesn't list all 237 but you are welcome to add to the list... |

Some things shouldn't be over analyzed.
Although: "I'm doing research on the reasons for human sexual relations" Would be a fun icebreaker to use in certain social situations...

I think it would depend on how desperate the person on the receiving end of that line is. I mean, if it's been a long, long, LOOOOONG time.... |

To relieve migraines.
Yup, it's true! Remember all of those times you've heard "Not tonight dear, I have a headache"? Forget about 'em!
Migraines, being primarily a blood flow problem, that is, the size of the vein being too small, usually from constriction, for the amount of blood that needs to pass through them.
To quote the famous Robin Williams "Men have two brains and only enough blood to run one at a time..." (girls too, actually.)
Re-direct that blood flow and viola'! Less migraine!
Endorphins are an added bonus here.
Just keep in mind that it's the blood redistribution that makes it work. If you don't do that, you'll probably pass out. |
