If someone wants to try to gather a wave of support for a Star Trek project and they come here and ask you to sign a petition - what's the harm?
Ultimately a majority of folks here are here because of Star Trek, right?
Whether they are pie in the sky projects or not they should have a right to post here.
That being said; if someone wants to question the rationale behind the idea; they have a right to do that as well.
The issue that I see is that it went beyond a questioning or debate of whether it was a good idea or not and started focusing on the person. We all know that personal attacks (whether in jest or not) are not cool here.
One lingering, nagging question I have.... JT said he was leaving and that was his last post because he was banning himself. If you look at his post though; he edited it...does that me he lied to us?  |
