Star Trek Fan Collective Proposal
It occurred to me that the Pilot Episodes are not all together in one collection AND why not have the Finales to each Series represented
as well?
So I propose "Beginnings and Endings" with Leonard Nimoy introducing
and concluding the collection. For TNG - Jonathon Frakes introduction and conclusion. For DS9 - Nana Visitor introduction and conclusion. For VOY - Tim Russ introduction and conclusion. For ENT - Jolene Balock introduction and conclusion.
The Original Series Disc 1 : The Cage, Where No Man Has Gone Before, Turnabout Intruder. Bonus Features - Nimoy's Introduction, the Genesis of TOS, TOS' legacy.
The Next Generation Disc 2 : Encounter at Farpoint, All Good Things. Bonus Features - Frakes Introduction and Conclusion, the Genesis of TNG, TNG's legacy.
Deep Space Nine Disc 3 : Emissary, What You Leave Behind. Bonus Features - Visitor's Introduction and Conclusion, the Genesis of DS9, DS9's legacy.
Voyager Disc 4 : Caretaker, Endgame. Bonus Features - Russ' Introduction and Conclusion, the Genesis of VOY, Voyager's legacy.
Enterprise Disc 5 : Broken Bow, Terra Prime. Bonus Features - Balock's Intro and Conclusion, the Genesis of ENT, Enterprise's legacy, Nimoy's conclusion.
Bonus Disc : Goofs Disc 6 : Various Bloopers from ALL of the series with George Takei's fake introduction.
This collection is a MUST esp. if the Remastered versions of those episodes are done in time.
Petition CBS, we MUST have the Pilot Episodes of ALL of the Series!!!

| Gimme a break, Mark. Parastink has turned a deaf ear to the cries of millions over the last 12 years to restore a living Kirk to trek fandom. I don`t think that they will fret to much over your meager request. |

It's such a coincidence that you should mention petitioning CBS! I drove to West 52nd Street to visit the CBS execs in person. I had an appointment with the Executive Chairman, Sumner Redstone. Also present at this meeting was Les Moonves and CBS's Chief Financial Officer, Fred Reynolds.
When I told them of the "Collective Proposal", they told me I was mentally unstable. They also asked me if I was taking any type of medication for being delusional. Their comments took me aback and I could only respond by pulling out the big guns. My "ace in the hole" was mentioning your name, Mark!!
When I said you were leading the petition, they ran like little girls, screaming, "Oh no! Not Mark McLaughlin! Anyone but him!" I chased after them! By the time I was through, they not only agreed to your proposal, but they're giving you a huge advance to work on a T.V. movie about your Finnish roots. They told me to tell you they want you to "Finnish" this project. |

I'm just letting out my ideas, I don't care if it doesn't jibe with you, I just needed a place to make known my thoughts and move on. I have my own projects I want to see happen within my lifetime, that's much more important to me!!!

These ideas are going to be a reality now that I'm in charge!! |

...and a bit "holier than thou"! Certainly doesn't help the cause at all.
Thanks for the link, Doc! Very entertaining, especially the responses to his demands!
Thank God I took over this project, too! I'll get these wheels in motion!! |

| I'm working on a concept of a parallel universe, where Mark McLaughlin is put in charge of Paramount in the year 2008. Just as Star Trek XI is about to come out, he pulls the plug on it and institutes Star Trek: The Chekov Insertion, in which Chekov is forced, with time against him, to insert himself into every season 1 episode to right a wrong that a rogue time traveler has created. |

YES!
And the rogue time traveler is Khan. In every scene, Khan and Chekov have to shake hands or nod to each other, making sure that their mutual acknowledgment is obvious. Khan will e-mail Chekov a virus infected copy of Linux Fedora Core MCMXLVIII. Chekov accidentally passes it on to the CBS execs and to Paramount. Microsoft saves the day by offering free copies of Windows XXX in 3-D, which includes a digital insertion service pack. |

This may be the most brilliant concept ever.

| Maybe Mark can stumble on to a Shatner shoot and be mistaken by Bill for an adult Wil Wheaton! |
