I liked this series and since TV is terrible I will add these to my vast collection of shows I used to really look forward too.

It is the Martin Landau era. before Leonard Nimoy. Year 1 and 2 not sure how long this series ran. quite reasonable price $AU90 for the both sets.

any one else like it. if you can remember that far back:)

Yes, I used to watch it. Great show. What is really cool, is seeing young fairly new actors in episodes who have since become big stars.

Its being repeated on tv here, they have just shown the pilot episode again, and the first few episodes where the team was lead by "Dan Briggs".Also the rest of the episodes where "Jim Phelps" took over. What happened to Dan Briggs character, i don't think that was ever explained..?.

Very Happy I'd love that show, including the theme music.I prefer the Jim Phelps character instead of the other one.Bill was in 2 episodes:one was "Cocaine" & "Encore";well this was when Nimoy was in the show.To Daisy, since TV is bad, they have seasons 1 & 2 now of this show on DVD,if you wish.

I loved that show and watched it all the time. I have to say I never did get into the MI movies with Tommy as they were so different than the show. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

THE first famous PARIS...and when I REALLY started to watch regularly

CLICK ME -while other one is running too

Martin Landau turned down the part of Mr. Spock on Star Trek (fascinating decision) and was replaced on Mission Impossible by Leonard Nimoy, who accepted the role (wholly logical).

OH I do indeed. I had a crush on Barbara Bain (believe that was her name).
The next show that followed this format was The A-Team, and I loved Peppards interpretaion of the character.

I was just reading up on the series when i noticed this.

I got my DVDs a couple of days ago, and I have to say this series has aged well. and is still a good watch:)

Then I always liked Martin Landau:)
