You have yet to grace us with a post on this, the new Board!
My question, and I think, more than just I want to know:
Do you have any plans/offers/ interest of returning to the Trek
world in front of or behind the camera?
I really enjoyed mindmeld and the candid conversation with
Nimoy. I watched it with my girl, we met because of our interest
in Star Trek, but not at a convention.
Hope to hear from you. |

If anyone else is curious and would like and answer to this question,
please reply. Between the replies and bumps, we might keep this
on the front page long enough for him to actually see it. |

I think Mr Shatner is proabably as frustrated as we all are with Star Trek. Hes been doing it as long as we been watching it. Genes dead and everything has changed.
The production of Star Trek mirrors the real world as much as the episodes do. Star Trek has gone to a prequil format in order to do less and still make money. This is a disapointment but with increasing production costs Paramount is looking to get a few more bucks out of this cash cow.
Until then we have the books, prequils, parks, rides, stores, merchandise, stars. priceline commercials, fright night and the best of all, quality reruns. |

Somehow, I get the feeling that he isn't frustrated with the way the franchise has gone. As an actor, he has done his stint, earned fame and received a great deal of money. While I do not want to talk for Bill, he has often stated that he has never watched the other Star Trek series. If he was so concerned about the way the franchise was heading, wouldn't he have kept up with the new developments?
I understand and agree with the fans' frustrations, but there are different realities being observed by Bill and us. If our favourite captain can be resurrected in some form or another wonderful, but I am not too sure how enthusiastic Bill really is.
Best Wishes,

Bill's at a convention this weekend so I think that's the reason he's not here. I'm sure that we'll hear from him this week and maybe we can get an answer to this question.
I personally think he's not sick of Trek and would welcome an opportunity on either side of the camera to do something but it's not his call either; it's just like the BBK movement - Paramount HAS to make the first move. |

It's one of those hectic weeks of travelling for Bill. This week coming is hopefully a bit more of a sane schedule for him so I'm sure he'll be on.
Also, don't forget that there's the Learning Annex event and Groom Lake Screening for the LA based folks coming up in the next couple of weeks. |
