Paul I'm away working.. Sad I'm a bit shy so would find hard to ask a question anyway. Even sitting here I can't think! I've watch Bill Shatner since I was 7 yrs old. He has always been my hero. I went to a Star Trek Convention once about twenty years ago, everybody there was great enthusiastice but they scared me silly. Oh here's a question....What would Bill like for his birthday? And how does Lisabeth feel about all the attention Bill gets? Have a fun day. Christina[

Paul is it possible to make the Live chat a Little later Pacific time so us Easterners can be Home to check out the feed unless you can create a conference line (i.e. AT&T Conference reserved telephone #) so we can listen to Bill on our cells while were on our way home from work rubber necking Wink

Thanks Doc

Doc,

It's all based on Bill's schedule (which is mainly influenced by Boston Legal) so there's little I can do with that and the telephone line is a novel idea but it's cost prohibitive in that the cost per connection per minute with the potential audience would make it super expensive. Even 100 people on the line would run about $900 per hour just for the phoneline. 1000 people would be $9000 plus the time and energy of hooking the sound board up to the phone and making sure everything works and that the sound connection isn't interfering with the webcams, etc... a nearly $10K cost for an audio portion of a video chat just loses some of its appeal. LOL!

We are going to film it with the ShatnerVision cameras and the webcams will record the event as well and the event will be available for playback on the Live ShatnerVision channel for you to watch later should you miss it.

One other thing I should note: if this live event is successful; we will plan other events like it and maybe bring in guests. It is limitless on what we can do with a mobile live video set up and Bill but we have to make this first one a huge success in order to get there.

This sounds great.

I just found Shatner Vision videos from January and with my new DSL connection, was able to learn quite a bit.

Thanks, Paul, for providing this venue to the sundry followers of ST.

Worldwide fans may suss their local time equivalent using this zone map...

http://www.worldtimezone.com/

As you move eastward from Pacific time, you add hours (which may lapse into the following day).

So, for example, March 3rd at 2:30 PM Pacific time is...

* 3:30 PM Mountain time.
* 4:30 PM Central time.
* 5:30 PM Eastern (New York, Florida, Toronto, Montreal)
* 10:30 PM Greenwich (London)
* 11:30 PM in Paris

* 1:30 AM on March 4th in Moscow
* 6:30 AM on March 4th in Singapore
* 7:30 AM on March 4th in Tokyo
* 9:30 AM on March 4th in Sydney, Australia.

GO BILL. Smile

It amazes me that Bill has the time and willingness to talk to their fans. It seems to me, we donīt give him the amount of energy he would need to be compelled to chat to us. But, hey, I am new here, a die hard fan and a low self steem wrack. Cool

Wouldn't it be great ,if we all had a standard online time,?.Something like a IST ( Internet standard time), insted of all these world wide time zones, which would do away with the problems of , minus and plus hours for different places, which are so hard to figure out.

Not really. Some of us barely get enough sleep now, if that were put in place we'd be zombies for sure. Wink

Is everyone who is on Daylight Savings time switching this weekend?

Just as a reminder the US states that are on Daylight Savings time are "springing ahead" on Saturday. I can't remember if it's Fall or Spring adjustments that Europe lags by a week.

At this point I don't think the Live event will happen next week - my guess is the week of the 17th.

I do have an update but it's not a good one.

There's no definitive time in the next two weeks that I can safely book a live chat without worrying that it will have to be changed at the last minute. So no live chat for at least two more weeks. We are now looking at the week of the 31st of March.

Surprised Hi! I am a big fan. Actually, I'm alittle obsessed. I take my meds, but they don't always work. I have sent Bill a few e-mails. Do these ever get read by you (him) or do they just go to the great void in the sky? The thought of actually meeting you, is beyond my wildest dreams. I hope that you had a happy birthday and continue to have many more. Your friend, Alice
