FIRST HALF OF BILL?S INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

Well, here it is ? the first half of Bill?s interview by you, the fans. He heroically tried to answer as many as possible, but we did limit each person to one question. If there was a long question, or a multiple question, he might have answered only one segment of it. Also, sometimes one question was asked several times by different people, so he combined his answer into one response to make things simpler. So here it is?everything you wanted to know about Bill.

Father's Day
Thursday, June 19, 2003 - 11:36 PM 12136 Reads
Lisabeth's Space To me, Father’s Day was all about dedication. Since my Dad was competing in a horse show in Huntington Beach, our original plan was to meet up for lunch near the show ring. The time of his class was changed, so we changed our plans to dinner. It then turned out that he could meet for neither lunch NOR dinner, so we had to cancel the second plan as well. The entire group ended up meeting him and Elizabeth at a coffee house in Los Angeles at 7:45 a.m. so we could wish him a happy Father’s Day and give him his gifts. As I have the dubious distinction of being the only night owl in the family, this was a sign of my true dedication! Of course, he couldn’t resist making a couple of jokes about early risers aimed in my direction, but I knew he was thrilled I had made the effort. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. My Dad’s a special guy, after all. That’s what Father’s Day is all about.

Ideal Vacation

Lisabeth's Space

Since Memorial Day kicks off the summer season, everyone?s thoughts turn to those wonderful, warm summer days and -- hopefully ? some vacation time. The idea of taking time off got me to thinking ? what is the ideal vacation? For me, it would be going somewhere exotic and tropical, a place where I could rest but also scuba dive and see some interesting cultural sites. My other type of ideal vacation would be to go somewhere cosmopolitan and visit all the museums and historical sites.

Then I really started thinking ? what would Captain Kirk?s ideal vacation be? For that matter, what would the rest of the (original) crew like to do with their time off? I envision Kirk doing something active (gee, a lot like my Dad) like climbing mountains (ala Star Trek Five) or something of the sort. Maybe Spock would go on a yoga retreat. And McCoy? He seems more like the golfing type. Maybe the rest of the crew would simply like a little peace and quiet. It?s fun to think about the possibilities. Now I?m wondering if they get PAID vacation time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Lisabeth's Space It?s hard to believe it?s that time of year again ? that time when, gasp, my Dad turns another year older. I (and he, I?m sure) prefer to think of it as his turning another year wiser. And the truth of the matter is, he IS another year full of experiences that have bettered his life in so many ways.

NO MORE BONK BONK
Wednesday, February 20, 2002 - 11:00 PM 4395 Reads
Lisabeth's Space These are the words I remember. I was wearing a Halloween costume; I had dirt smudged on my face. There were a lot of people crowded into a small set; my father was standing at the front of a room that had been made to look like a decrepit schoolroom. The kids crowded around him and began pretending to hit him. I was lifted up and brought over to him to give him a swipe. I kept laughing so they had to do it over a couple of times. Finally, I got the hang of it.
