Groom Lake
Wednesday, May 15, 2002 - 11:32 PM  1839 Reads
Bill's Space  Last week I was very fortunate to be able to share my movie "Groom Lake," with family, friends, and potential buyers when I screened it for them at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. I was very happy to see over a hundred people there, and felt fortunate that I had such a nice venue in which to show the movie. The theater had a digital projector, which is unusual for a little theater, so I was excited that I could share it in a good forum. I stood up and gave a welcoming speech, and then we showed the movie, which received generally favorable response.

Free Enterprise
Wednesday, May 22, 2002 - 11:29 PM  2184 Reads
Bill's Space  My journey on Free Enterprise was an interesting one. Mark Altman, the co-writer and Rob Burnett the director and co-writer of the movie approached me about being in their independent movie, which had the character of Shatner as an all wise, all powerful person, capable of solving all their problems?.a guru of sorts. I didn't want to play this part; I didn't find that character interesting. So, I turned it down. Time and again, these two very determined young men kept approaching me to do the part. Time and again, I turned them down. Finally, their persistence persuaded me to take another look at the script and take their offer more seriously. So I reread the script and thought up some ways to change the character around into something that I would like to play.

Bill's A's To Your Q's
Thursday, June 06, 2002 - 10:52 PM  2343 Reads
Bill's Space  I thought it would be fun to take some of the more recent questions from the message board and answer them in my space. If you like this method of communication, we can do it on a regular basis. It's a good way for me to elaborate more thoroughly on some of the questions. So, here they are?.

Deforest Kelley Remembered
Wednesday, June 12, 2002 - 10:47 PM  2013 Reads
Bill's Space  June 11th is the anniversary of DeForest Kelley's passing away and I thought it only appropriate to comment on what this beloved friend and colleague meant to me. "Dee" was the epitome of a southern gentleman, with his manners, his sense of fairness and honor. I enjoyed his company enormously and it was a real kick to work with him. He had been in "the business" for years before I worked with him and he knew how to keep the tennis ball of performance bouncing between us.

POLITICALLY INCORRECT
Wednesday, June 19, 2002 - 10:45 PM  1868 Reads
Bill's Space  I've been on many talk shows, but I really enjoyed my appearance on Politically Incorrect last week. Unfortunately, the show is going off the air soon, so Bill Maher wanted to have some of his favorite guests back, well, before it was too late. Other guests on the show that night included: Al Franken, Lisa Pinto and Rania Masri. I felt honored that he asked me to appear once again on his show. Bill's a fun guy who reminds me of a "class grump" you know, the kid that is always in trouble with the teachers, the principle, and the class bully. It's a lot of fun to watch him in action while he's doing his thing.

THE NEED FOR SPEED
Friday, August 23, 2002 - 10:39 PM  1682 Reads
Bill's Space  The need for speed is like the need for breathing, at least for me. I've always liked going fast, especially on skis, motorcycles, or cars when I was younger. But as I've raced through life, I've found new ways to experience that wonderful feeling that only speed can bring.

Bill's Space  August 31, in Joliet, Illinois. 1500 people emerge from the early morning mist, each armed with a marker (that's paintball talk for gun). Three teams, each with a burning desire to win. At 8:00 am sharp, several flares arc high into the sky, indicating the beginning of the game. And the battle is on.
