I had a wonderful experience in Seattle a week ago. Lisabeth and I traveled there for a convention, and took the opportunity before I went on-stage to tour around a bit. We ended up in Pike?s Marketplace. (Forgive me if I don?t get the name exactly right. I was calling it ?Pike?s Peak? for a while until several people kindly corrected me. I?m still not sure I?ve got it right.) |

I've received many wonderful posts about humor and the role it plays in your lives. Although many of you have been through your own painful tragedies, it seems like humor is a universal healing tool. I know that I will always appreciate the role humor plays is my life, and its wonderful ability to salve life's inevitable wounds. |

An actor's work on a movie doesn't always end with the filming. Often times he'll be asked to do publicity for the movie right before it comes out. It's called a press junket and I've just finished one in New York for the movie "Showtime." |

I was reading Lisabeth's article on psychic phenomenon, and I thought I should acknowledge how proud I am of her accomplishments on her soap opera, "Ruby." She's taken a subject matter that interests her greatly, and come up with an entertaining and original way to tell a story. |

The other night, my wife, Elizabeth, and I had dinner with Leonard and his lovely wife, Susan. We had a great time, which made me think it was appropriate to comment on my friendship with Leonard here in "Bill's Space." You all know about our fictional friendship on Star Trek. If you've been to Conventions, you've either seen us together, or heard me talk about him. I even wore his nose in an episode of "Ruby." But seeing him the other night, I was struck by how dear he is to me. He and I have a deep friendship that can only be achieved by many years of experience.

First, I want to thank you all for your feedback and suggestions on the products you'd like to see in the WilliamShatner.com store. Cassidy Chick started a message board thread about a movie I was in called "Free Enterprise." As a mater of fact so many others, like Strlslvr and Sdcarnes, liked it so much we were convinced we should make the DVD available in our store. Well, we worked very hard to make that happen and I believe we'll be able to announce its availability soon -- and at a great price. |

The Hollywood Charity Horse show was enormously successful; we had two thousand children who were fed and entertained and we had a wonderful party for the adults. Our silent auction seemed particularly successful as we had 230 items this year the entire charity aspect of the event was probably one of the more successful that we've ever put on. Once again, I have to extend my gratitude to the troop of volunteers that make the event possible. No one could do such a Herculean task on his own, and I know I certainly would not have been able to do it without these wonderful people. My gratitude to them is boundless.

On Sunday evening, I had the honor of attending NBC's 75th Anniversary Celebration in New York. For me, it was an exercise in nostalgia. I got to see some of the casts from great television hits of yesteryear - and, alas, I was one of them! |
