This is going to be good stuff. I won,t miss a minute. After 41 years of being a trekkie (I'm 48). To see these guys who probably know as much as any one can know about a lifelong friend we know fun when we see it. This will be great fun.

As an original and longtime fan of all things Trek I have a great story to share:
Back in the "90,s I attended my 30th convention an Tucson AZ. to finally see
and meet "The Man" Himslf..William Shatner. Now I had seen him at the 20th and 25th annual cons. However at this one in Tucson he was signing and meeting fans. I thought back to the days when I was 6,7, yrs ld and I would sneak out of bed and hide behind my dad's Big chair to watch Star Trek(my father was a big fan). My dad always knew I was there and let me watch. Anyway here I was 30 years later,meeting my childhood hero. He was engaging funny and took the time to talk to all of us as we waited to meet him. After that was all said and done he announced to 10,000 + fans that Leonard Nimoy would be picking him up in a Limo in the underground parking garage and did we want to be a part of a "practical joke". So he marched ALL of us down to the garage. I was lucky enough to be right behind him and for some reason he picked me and a few othersto be the "Leaders of the Pack". We were to hide in groups My group was with him the whole time, and when the limo showed up he was to go out alone and when he said "I have a suprise for you Leanord" We were to march out like a bunch of Zombies and Mob the limo. Not too close but a few of us wee allowed to get very close. So there's the limo..I still can't believe all of us were not detected.(I'm sure security was crapping in their pants). But we were all good trekkers and did as our Captain commanded. We waited..He went up to the limo..The cue was given and my pack , being the closest moved in in true Zombie fashion,as others broke out from EVERYWHERE..I wasn't sure if Mr. Nimoy was going to have a stoke or poop in his pants..He was shocked and then truly amused and even took the time to give Mr. Shatner a good talking too, saying he was pretty sure he would never be able to top this, then he took the time to speak to the rabid group of laughing Zombies, saying he was truly touched and honoered and a little fightened. Right before Mr. Shatner got into the limo, for some reason he turned to me and a few others who were right there exchanged hugs and handshakes, thanking us for a job well done and thanked us for helping him with the most fun he'd had at a convention in a long time.
Now that's class.
I look forward to every episode of Raw Nerve, reruns and forthcoming movies and events. Thank You William Shatner for giving me my most memorable convention experience

That's the first time I've seen Nimoy at his current age. I've been away from watching Television or going to the movies for a long time. Wow, I'm behind times.
