Bill & Elizabeth,

I want to thank you both for bringing attention to this problem. I have a son who is a Sergeant in the Army. He served a tour of duty in Iraq. I am so thankful that he wasn't injured at least not physically. It is a horrenduos atrocity that our children who have served their country so bravely are not being giving the proper medical care that they so deserve. It deeply saddens my heart. What does this say about our government? Thank you both for being such caring and giving individuals and for reminding us all that there is always something more that we all can do to help others in some way. Best wishes, TK

<div>This is something that really is a concern to myself. But as a disabled veteran i wish to add more regarding the Veterans Hospital System. Please go further past this active military hospital and into the Veterans Hospital. After 10 years of good service to the Navy i was medically discharged and the years that followed would stand the hairs o&shy;n the back of your neck. Recently it took over a year through a few Doctors that didn&#39;t believe me regarding a large mass in my chest. After a year they finally said yes it was there. But they said it was voluntary surgery and not needed. I demanded the surgery. What was removed was larger then a soft ball and very infected. It took over 5 hours to remove this mass from my chest near my heart. I am now two month post surgery and still have problems. Mainly I am mentioning here the VA System is not much different then back in the late 60&#39;s and early 70&#39;s, failing to really help disabled veterans. Funding is short, less Doctors and staff. Not enough X-ray tech&#39;s and so o&shy;n. Please include this about the VA, that is where the disabled military go after being discharge from active duty and have continual life time need for health care.
Keep up the good work. .
