Hi, as a horse mad freak of <em>considerable</em> age and a Star Trek fan to boot, I feel I have something in common with you (don't we all). When I spoke to you at the Hilton in London earlier this year, I asked, what to you may be a silly question, which breed of horse you like best, and you said the American Saddle Bred. And, do you know, it is o­ne of the few breeds I know very little about. It is also a pleasure to know that there are some Americans who do not consider the Quarter Horse (as beautiful and useful as it is) the definitive equine.
I have ridden both western and English (I am from and live in England). But due to Rheumatoid Arthritis I have had to give it up. My husband owns an unregistered Irish Draught cross breed, probably out of a hunter mare, which was bred in Ireland for show jumping. He rides it cross country and has trained it to western (he goes o­n a 2 week holiday each year to a working ranch in Montana). I envy him.
Well, this is quite a diatribe for my first 'posting'. I hope you don't mind. I hope to 'post' to you again in the not too distant future.

You continue to be a role model. Many of my friends assocaite you with Captian Kirk's.....playfulness with girls. When I told them about the Horse Show they were amazed and their mind was changing. So many don't know you.
