Saint Patrick's Day is the 17th but Montreal holds the Parade on the closest Sunday, which was today.

Although it was raining, there was still a huge turnout.

Here is a selection of my photos:

Sadly, a 20 year young man died during the processions afer jumping from a float.

Impressive photos.

Sad to hear of the young man's death.

It is too bad that the rest of the day's events were cancelled though.

Gornman, how can someone who is green miss out?

Happy Saint-Patrick's Day to all the Irish, descendants of the Irish, the Irish for a Day, and the Irish wannabes..., and the Irish at Heart.

Here's looking at you over a glass of Guiness.

I wonder how the French handle St. Fatrick's Day. Do they go ballistic and riot?

The Quebecois love the St. Paddy's Day parade. (Any excuse to party eh?)

yep, it was rainy (drizzly) and cold and windy.

I have a head cold now. Took the day off yesterday because I was in sinus pain.... better today.
