Post subject: Treksfera - a polish convention

Last week in Warsaw we had a convention called Treksfera, as a part of Avangarda 2009 - Sci Fi and Fantasy Convention. Please don't laugh, it was not a big deal -we have a very small group of Trekkies, and that was just a second our real convention (the first was last year). But for all of us that was a very important event.
We had the competitions, the lectures, the games and a debate with fans of Star Wars Universe.
Here is a picture. That ugly girl in red uniform that's me. |

What a great photo! And you are not the least bit ugly.
I like going to big cons but I have to confess that the most fun I've had at cons were at parties with other fans, in groups about the same size as yours. |

| You are all very nice . I love particulary TOS, that's why I was in that uniform - and the sweet little tribble was with us not just for fun. It was something like a secret weapon - we cannot allow Star Wars fans to win our debate In fact, that was almost a real clash of the titans! |

Have you seen the new Movie and if so what is your opinion (as well as The Covention Members?)

| Speaking about new move we had several serious debates about it. Some of us really love that movie, and the others really hate it. No=one is neutral. The youngest fans among us love it, but we have a goup of older fans, which wanted to burn Abrams alive. In fact, one of our discussions on convention was rather a real fight about it. One side cried: "ABRAMS KILL STAR TREK!" and the other: "WE LOVE NEW MOVIE!" That was very interesting experience. |

Luckily for You there are Six Motion Pictures and Seventy Nine/Eight Episodes, as well as The Animated Series.... Which are ALL your Crew...
I loved it myself, but that is just Me!
Did You watch any of the Episodes at your Convention?

No,that uniform belongs to one girl of "Horizon" stuff. "Horizon" is our fan-serie, a project which is still in progress. |

When we lived in Montreal, SciFi conventions were a family affair. My wife and kids pretended they were just humouring the nerd in me but we all had a great time.
