Like I said, I don't care which one I get since I haven't been lucky enough to see either. Just as long as I win one set and can watch it on a USA DVD player. |

http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Monste ... B0000714FA
Looking at the price,it would cost to buy, even just on video tape, i am not surprised most people are requesting The Time Monster, if they win
Theres some very good info, on Dr Who videos and Dvd releases, in the United States and Canada at.

I prefer the Tom Baker onwards DW myself, actually I love the new format and Torchwood as well. Good Luck to those entering.
For those of you worried about the DVD zones find the sites on the net with the crack codes for making your machine multi zoned, I have all of my machines set to play any format and zone so I can buy DVD's locally or from the US when they release them earlier. |

I perhaps will run a Tom Baker Dr Who competition, some time in the future. For now I wanted to "test the water", with this competition first. I think it depends what era you are from, as to which is " your Dr".Jon Pertwee was one of the most popular people to play the Doctor, coming in when he did at the beginning of the 1970s the start of a new decade, when a lot of things and attitudes in the world ,were changing from how they had been in the 1960s.A lot of people still have fond memories of him.
Just 2 days left until this competition closes, |

It was a good bit of fun,and as there was a good response, well why not let everyone win a little treat
Harry I just got your email and will be sending the DVD out ,in the next few days
I will be sending them out to everyone as soon as i get their postal address.
I don't share or pass on personal information/ home or e mail adresses. Obviously i have to send the Dvd out the winners, by snail mail, so Once i have all the postal adresses, and have let you all know that i have sent your particular disk out , your email with those details will be deleted, preserving your privacy, |

I am working on getting as many sent over the weekend as possible.
I hope those of you, that remember Pertwee, enjoy the trip down memory lane.Plus a new experiance for anyone, who has not seen any of his Dr before, you are in for a treat. This is where the doctor started to get in to the more physical action, and where "science" and the "gadgets" really started to come in to the forefront. |

Indeed.
I remember Pertwee using Jujitsu a couple of times and was quite surprised. |

Dear Harry:
Insofar as there isn't a PM function and whereas you do not have an email in profile, I must utilize this electronic segment to ask a question.
IF you are still in Japan; can you assist in obtaining postage for a letter from Japan to the US?
I want to ask a hotel for their luggage sticker (fond memory and the old one has worn off).
Realizing this isn't an earth shattering event but it beats getting beaten in Burma.
You can email me from this site, just go to my profile.
ciao. |

Update
Ok i have sent most the DVDs out in the first post today ( friday 29th). So hopefully you should get them soon.
Daisy and Mirizor, i have only just got your emails with your postal address, ( 10.15am U.K time) so due to that they missed todays early post , But the DVDS will be put in the mail to you,as soon as i can get to the post office, which will be either later today, tomorrow or monday. I'll let you know when they are on the way.
Please check your emails folks.
P.S
Harry as your email keeps "bouncing" replies, just to let you know your DVD was also sent first post this morning. |
