I was in Canada for the 4th of July ? and no one paid any mind to America?s celebration. But I was in Toronto for Canada Day and I didn?t celebrate that holiday, either. In spite of the fact that I missed any public celebrations, I am always privately grateful for everything these two countries have given me. I love living in America and if I had been home, I would have fired up my barbeque, had my friends and family over, and whooped it up with the best of them. I hope you all had a happy and safe holiday and managed to see some fireworks, too. |

Of all the roles I’ve played in my career, some of my most favorite were written by that most famous of scribes, Shakespeare. Recently, I had a most unusual experience that involved one of his plays, “Two Gentlemen From Verona.” I did a reading with many other actors, some of whom had never done Shakespeare before. They brought their artistry and originality to the experiences, so much so that I was awestruck. Some of these talented people included Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Tom Hanks, and Rita Wilson, among others.

It?s that time of year again ? the Hollywood Charity Horse Show is here. I started this charity about twenty years ago in an effort to help challenged children. Over the years, we?ve raised considerable money and done a lot of good. This year proves to be no exception. on April 26th in the evening, there will be a great party given by the Hollywood Charity Horse Show at the Equestrian Center in Burbank, California. We?ve got team penning with Hollywood personalities (I?ve even lassoed Leonard into participating this year!), Jim Belushi and his orchestra, and a silent auction. Of course, there?s always plenty of great food, too. I?m very proud of the wonderful job everyone involved in the Charity has done for these kids. If you want to have a great time AND make a contribution to needy children, come to the party. The tickets are a charitable expense, so not only does it cost less than you think, you?re doing a good deed, too. Plus, it?s just plain fun! |

What might the meeting between Harry Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle been like? That's one of the questions I explore in one of my upcoming projects this year. Check out the rest of what I'm up to in Bill's Space.
